If you are looking for a great way to practice Main Idea with your students’, whether they are starting or just need to refresh the skills, here is our Main Idea Task Cars in Spanish that will help them achieve this goal. No matter how much experience you have or if you are just starting in the teaching business, the Main Idea reading skill requires quite a lot of practice.

There are 40 task cards with short stories and multiple-choice answers that will assist your students in tacking this difficult skill. They can be used in Literacy Centers, as a whole group practice and/or in small groups. They can be practicing while you work with other students that need support. I suggest copying them in card stock paper and then laminating them to protect them and to make sure they last for at least a year or so. I have also included the Answer Key.

I have included some ideas on how to introduce this reading skill or just to review the material.
