Black History in Spanish

Here’s a great Black History Material in Spanish for our bilingual students. It includes:

The history of slavery, focusing on the time that it came to America,

The rise in the cotton industry and its influence on slavery,

The revolt started by Nat Turner,

The Underground Railroad,

The Case of Dred Scott

The Civil War and Emancipation

A Timeline of some of the Civil Rights Movement

Also included in this product are twelve of the most interesting African Americans that inspire others to their freedom. People that risked their lives to make others better. A brief description of those individuals is offered in this document.

A game of identifying the Black History individuals that shaped the African American history for the students to play and practice recognizing those individuals.

A blank timeline has been included as a test for students to match the pictures and the year with the event that took place.
