Metaphors Or Simils Task Cards In Spanish
Review Metaphors and Similes using these task cards that should make it easy and fun to your students. These task cards support your students in practicing these rhetoric figures. They will figure out very soon that the similes have the words as or like and that the metaphor don’t, which will help them gain the knowledge they need to do well when reading poetry and will prepare them for weekly and standard assessments.
The Metaphors or Similes Task Cards in Spanish illustrate some example of metaphors and similes with drawings to help students identify them correctly. There is a space at the bottom of the task card for the students to mark their answers with a check mark ( ). I suggest you copy the cards in card stock and laminate them for durability.
I have included 40 task cards with written sentences for students to read and decide whether they are a metaphor or a simile. I have also included an answer key that you can give the students to check on their answer after their practice. If played as a game, one of the students can keep track of the players answers and of course, the student that can identify correctly the most answers is the winner. It’s a lot of fun to be able to answer correctly as many as possible and to become winners, as well as experts.
