Close Reading in Spanish empowers your students to genuinely take part in reading stories in detail and follow a strategy. In time, through close reading activities and practice, students will be able to read more and more intricate editions individually, trusting merely on the information that the author offers in the text to withstand their knowledge and assessment of the text.

Teaching Close Reading is a very challenging skill to validate and also to attain. The Close Reading in Spanish document is a fantastic tool to model, teach and practice with your students.

The document offers as a story for students to analyze “The Grasshopper and Ant Fable”. The students will be able to summarize, talk about the characters and how they changed throughout the story and also what was the lesson learned after reading the fable.

Two models need to be thought of when reading: you have to read with the author or understand his views and reading the author’s viewpoint critically or question his views.
