This is a really fun way to teach about the different narrative and expository/informative genres by using book covers and asking questions about the covers.

• It helps students to focus on the covers and whether those books they are looking at are the ones they want to read at the moment..

• Students can work with partners to think of complex questions about the covers.

• Have students discuss the book covers and ask partners about the cover and what it’s all about.
